    The book is saturated with Bloomsbury connections. Grant, well respected in his own right, was part of that circle as was the critic Roger Fry. The book came from the Hogarth Press of Leonard and Virginia Woolf, also part of that set. It was most likely printed while the press was still private – not using commercial printers (Wikipedia shows the 1923 year’s profit as £5 7s 8d for 14 titles) Maybe the type was set by Virginia herself. Cover art probably by Vanessa Bell, sister of Virginia, and lover of both Fry and Grant.
