Little music Cabinet

    Any thoughts on this piece I know the pictures are not great. It is put together with flat head screws on the backing piece an the hardware. It's an odd design to me with the spool / spoke looking sides an all most like an Asian motif on cupboard door. what are your thoughts? TIA

    You see a lot of pieces with the bobbin turnings from Brittany France.

    Late 19th century with some stick and ball detailing. Also, sort of aesthetic with the hinges and exotic applied carving. I don't think the plywood back and shelf are original.

    Breton bobbin turning is generally a bit more intricate, but they also have those half wheels, as well as full circle ones, symbolising ship's wheels.
