Little Inuit Slate Kayak

    This came in the same auction as the whalebone figures. Markings on the bottom look like they might be Inuit syllabary? Can anyone interpret them? Thank you.

    the # 2 - ?....is a disc number referring to the artists name, but I can't see it all.

    Thank you for that information. It is indeed difficult to read the whole thing - very faint.

    Alas, not enough of the signature is visible to suggest an attribution. In this particular case, identifying the artist isn’t something which would affect value. Enjoy it for what it is.
