Featured Little Ginger Pot,ideas on age or country ?

    This little pot's 3 7/8" tall,no signature or lid-seems painted rather than transferware but I've got a low mag loupe.Any idea of where & when it was made ? Thanks. Pot1.jpg Pot2.jpg Pot3.jpg

    Sweet! I think it's handpainted, too, but a bit on the folksy side. Quick painting. Dunno, maybe Japanese, but others may know better and one associates the ginger jars with China. Dating is always difficult as this stuff has been made for a long time and AFAIK is still being made. First 3rd 20th c maybe?

    I think that’s older and Chinese. Ginkgo leaves those are.

    You & My Wife have a great eye for Flora.She used to know all the Latin names-magic w/ plants ! I'm the muscle w/ the shovel.

    Could very well be older -- I usually hesitate to guess, LOL!
