Little general

Little general. I found this little guy about a year ago I’ve posted him on Facebook things but nobody recognize the things I’m hoping somebody here will he stands 5 inches tall and weighs 2 pounds I cannot find any marks on him and he is made of brass. Thanks for any information

Yes maybe,was automatically thinking pirate..But also who would a pirate general be saluting. He must be a “funny man”

 

His hat looks suspiciously like Napolean's.

Ha ha .. Was also thinking that at first glance.. There’s also something missing on that hat (it looks like)

 

I don’t think that little figurine is historically correct. But I like him

Kinda looks like there might have been a 'sticky' logo in that circle!! AND on the BACK bottom of his coat tails, what are those "items" on each side??? ONE kind of looks like a stemmed goblet....the other has a bit of a black mark over it....and yes, it has a sort of 'copper' look to it, at least on MY computer.....

 

Looks like it was mounted or maybe had a base at some stage (maybe that had the info you are looking for)

 

Had to zoom to see that “goblet thing” (good eye) and X marks the spot.. Think the goblet look is maybe just coincidence?

 

I thought it was Captain Crunch at first glance,but he doesn't have a "C" on the hat.

 

Thinking you may be right, but I "edited" out the 'X' and think the shape on his left bum looks kind of like an ice cream cone....image attached below....but I also found what looks like writing on the BACK of the inverted legs BELOW the coat tails....looks like it ends in "ART", but not quit able to read what it says in front.....could it be a logo for something like "Captain Crunch" cereal???? (THAT JUST popped into my head!!!---AND NOPE...that's NOT RIGHT!!!) The blue image has the writing & is inverted.....I'm hoping if YOU have a Loupe, maybe you can read it better, in hand!! There are also some tiny letters above what looks like the 'cone' on the left of image just below HERE....

Let me ask you experts because everybody says no but do you think I should get some good brass polish and shine him up ?

Looks like it has some kind of a surface treatment. I'd leave it alone.

My guess is that it's some corporate mascot, maybe some fast food chain current or defunct. The missing cockade probably would have cleared the whole thing up.
