Little ceramic figure

    hi I was wondering if anybody could help me. My dad found this in a field when he was around 8 years old and we where hoping someone may know where it’s from or how old it may be. It’s around and inch and a half in size, we think ceramic, it is signed but we can’t make out what it says and we’re not sure if it may be Chinese. It would be fantastic if somebody could shed a light on this little mystery for us!

    the photos are too far away for me to see detail but it looks like a porcelain Netsuke.

    It does look like porcelain, and oriental, but not a netsuke.

    My WAG is a little "Made In Japan" or "JAPAN" figurine. Looks like it was once glued to a planter or other decorative item. Not sure how old your father is, but could it be from the 1950s?

    Hi yes my dad was born in 1964 so he is in his 50s so yes could be 1950s :)

    Boy monk figure, looks like to me & could well be Japanese.
