Lightning Rods

    We have some lightning rods running through the auction this week.
    I didnt get to get a good look at them before I had to go but pictures will be up later.

    How do you know if they are antiques or not?

    Well identifying the metal is important. Then seeing if it's attached to an old and/or rotten weathervane. They put them on houses too, so. Well, we need a visual aid.

    If it looks like this it's very rare and valuable but it's not antique. I made it last year. And yes, I need to renew it's shape again into something cooler again.

    I did this one too.
    And others. Yes, it's scary when it storms.

    I know you didn't ask but man, even the red stuffs copper.

    Well, it was part of a vane (needless to say). That thing isn't cheap
    If someone doesn't know that, they can do that twist job themselves or take it to the metal yard.

    They don't look new !!!
    & the metal work on them is really quite nice.
    I can'y say to value....but the one with the star and arrow.....well someone's gotta pay well for that !!!!
