We just returned from an antique lighting show and thought we'd share with our friends at antiques. The first is a bronze student lamp by Shreve Crump and Low ca. 1890s.

Next is a cranberry thumb print mini sitting among its larger siblings, including a Bradley & Hubbard banquet lamp.

Now we're getting into some really fun territory. The hanging lamp is a Rochester frame with the original smoke bell and spent match holder, all from the 1880s.

Last is the best of all. It's a Deco-era Aladdin white beehive with an original shade, chimney, burner, the works. Its a dream come true for Ms. Ghopper.

Hoping that you had a fun weekend too!!

They are all beautiful. The last one is spectacular! I would sit and gaze at it lovingly everyday.

Not if I got to it first! Looks like Ghopper and Mrs Ghopper had themselves a good time.

20230628_192717~2.jpg Ironically, recently picked up that Aladdin shade in pink for a song at the thrift store.

Sat on the shelf for weeks at $14.99. Even went to half price and still no sale. Does have a chip on the base but that would be covered by the fitter ring. I didn't really need or want it but got it for $1.99. Could not say no at that price.

Rather than a purchase, I'd think of that more as a rescue operation.

Looks like you did well at the show, they are beautiful! I've never seen one with a 'spent match holder' before, that is very cool:)

Yes @cxgirl they are pretty tough to find! They typically depend from the bottom of the lamp frame They were definitely an “ad-on” sale, so there were probably not many to begin with. Add to that the fact that they’re typically small; it all adds up to a low “survival” rate.
That said, there was a vendor that had several that were modeled after piano babies which incited drool from yours truly. Very cool and not a little bit charming, but the prices? Wow!

That Rochester would even work nicely in one of those modern "We forgot to add color" interiors.
