Lemaire opera glasses repair parts? brass screw

My pair of Lemaire opera glasses is missing the brass middle screw. Has anyone seen replacements or know whether it's a standard size?

 

If you have a GOOD model shop nearby, they have every size of screw/bolt/nut in every tiny size/thread (at least ours does!)

 

What you need is a brass screw (flathead) with a narrow thread, to fit into the hole. That's all these opera glasses used to hold them together. I've never had to find one, so I can't advise on this, but I'd suggest finding a hobby shop or a shop that specialises in antiques restorations or repairs, and see what they can offer. You could try something like a clockmaker's or watchmaker's shop - they always have millions of little screws lying around.

 

Check with your local eyeglass store,they usually have repair kits with different screws at no cost for one screw.

 

Thems would be some opera glasses from tiny kingdom to use eyeglasses screws IMO

 

My mind was telling me it was a longerette not the binocular type.
