I found this at my local thrift store today - they were asking $499 but accepted my $300 offer! It is by Jupp Wiertz and is a large (66" x 47"!) German cosmetics advertising poster circa 1920's - 1930's!
It is a 2 piece poster & appears to have been mounted - hopefully on linen - with a foam board backing. It appears to be in incredible condition.
One thing - if you look at where the 2 pieces join near the porter's lower hand (you can see line where ribbon on box (on left side of poster) doesn't line up exactly); the lower part of that hand looks different from the top part! It looks that way in another one I found here
    ( https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/1966119_2079116-poster-jupp-wiertz-1881-1939-kaloderma-ci )

This one I should be able to make a profit on! (but because of size I'm going to have to sell it locally - it barely fit in my van!).
Just wanted to show you - hope you like it.

I cropped the image on live auctioneers of the box. The first picture is the closeup of tge box where the joint is on liveauctioneers and the second pic is a closeup of yours and it appears yours isn't lined up all the way even for some reason.

the live auctioneer one is stated as a 2 sheet, so hopefully journeys is just a slight mismatch, as it continues right across

there is a visible color difference between the 2 parts. lower part is darker than the upper part. dont know what it means

say it slowly the largest one on your site is 46" - this is 66"

The line where the 2 sheets meet is in same position as liveauctioneer & size is same; I believe mine is real - just someone laid it down a bit off; or maybe one side is trimmed & they tried to even it for framing/mointing?

Me too! That one is still too small & more importantly a single sheet poster; mine & original are 2 sheet posters
    Fingers crossed!
PS - they have another of a monkey drinking a bottle of something alcoholic but it was 6.5" short so I passed on it

If you're talking about the white box with the red ribbon, that box has a lid on it and it appears as if the ribbon is a separate piece on the lid and a separate piece on the box. What I'm seeing seems to be accurate, given the thickness of the lid and not an error in alignment.

I would say try and take it out of the frame and see if there is any writing on the bottom where the frame is covering it but thats up to you.
