Featured Large Stoneware bowl, Signed and impressed mark

    It is 11 1/4" diameter and 2" tall.
    I see what looks like a signature on the bottom. And the Mark that I can't make out either. Interesting that the bottom design is totally different from the top.
    Any help on this would as always be greatly appreciated.

    Studio pottery. Interesting: base looks Chinese and has a pseudo mark.

    Thanks for looking Obb. My thoughts were Chinese. The mark doesn't look Chinese though. Any idea on the sig?

    Unfortunately the center of the base is glazed so it isn't possible to fill the voids with anything to hi-light it
    This is the best shot. looks like Stakle?

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Best I could do enhancing it....also inverted it....some colors bring it out more, but not positive it helped in this case.....hope it means something to someone!!! Would/could 'Stertle' be a possibility?

    Agree this is studio pottery. It is a beautiful piece.
