We picked this up from a friend downsizing to a smaller home, it is a double sided panel standing a little over 6’ tall done in very finely detail silk embroidery. The age I’m not sure of but not too old I don’t believe maybe 1960’s to 1980’s judging from the matting?

Do you think the floral shape a Chinese character?

Yes, it’s a type of jadeite I believe.

The silk embroidery I have no idea on value other than the labor making it and cost of the silk thread had to be Substantial, we have a history trading back and forth with our friend and around 6 years back this was gifted to us.

It looks very like the embroideries my soon-to-be MIL gifted me after her trip to China in the 1990s. Mine were not framed or matted, however.

I think it is lovely, a very floral Shou in a traditional style frame.
I agree with the others, maybe a few decades old. But beauty is timeless.
