I bought a small lot of pewter pieces a few weeks ago & am going to need some help on the marks. This is piece #1.

It measures 18" handle to handle, 14 1/2" by 12 1/2" across the bowl & is 3 1/4" to the side edge. The Etain 92% is very clearly marked, but there is another mark that is very light. It may be Heymans or Heymaas & then looks to repeat the 92% etain.

Also is there a keyword I could use for the figure on the handles?

I am assuming this next photo shows a manufacturing defect, but I wanted to include it just in case it was actually some type of mark.

Thanks for any & all advice or opinions!!!:kiss::kiss:

It's pewter; that's the Etain. At least part of that hard to read mark cast into it repeats the pewter mark. The marker seems to start with an H. The Germans made something similar in the 60s/70s I think, but they tended to use silver. I'd imagine they were to hold fresh fruit.
