Clay pots of unknown provenance from my parents' basement. Probably African, maybe Kenyan. They have several of these, all around 12" to 15". There is no manufacturer's mark on these anywhere.

The design is scratched into the surface without a lot of artistry, so maybe utilitarian pots. (Spitoons for all I know. :) )

Then again, they could be South American. No idea.

    Anyone?

That makes a lot of sense. It also gives purpose to the carrying rings i found elsewhere.
