Hello - I'm not even sure what this is but I picked it caught my eye so I brought it home. My rather uneducated guess would be that it's late 19th century European? Also is this a bowl or dish of some sort? The opening on top is star shaped. The gilt painting seems to be hand done and the leaves are etched of sandblasted - don't think they are ground/cut but again - that's just my uneducated guess. Thanks in advance for any useful info :) There is a polished pontil mark on the base - which I'll try to get a pic of here in a minute. It's about 6 inches in diameter and about 7 1/2 inches tall including the base. 34108355915_8acb6c3b6d_k.jpg 34108342515_8c2aa791d3_k.jpg 33951133882_4c710c573f_k.jpg 34067351786_40b2eb061c_k.jpg 33265608524_6d2616fa77_k.jpg 34067336206_3f267641e6_k.jpg

I'd call it an ivy bowl with the "stem" - rose bowl if it didn't have a "stem"..............but does it really matter?

I'm gonna go along with Bear, Bohemian, perhaps 1905? The paste decorations would have been gilded.
