I've seen similar (but not the same), smaller carved wood figures a a man curled up into a ball; but mine is only semi curled/or resting his head on his knees + it's a lot bigger than any of the similar ones I've seen.
    What should I call this?
    Where is it from?
A couple of the little toes on 1 foot are shipped - it looks like red wood? What kind of wood is this made of?
Has anyone seen another like this or this size?
Any information would be greatly appreciated - I couldn't find any signature.

So smaller ones you saw was obviously the “weeping buddha” carvings? I think this might still be based on that just different in size and posture..

Balinese carving of 'orang malu', which is Indonesian for shy or embarassed man. It represents a yogi in total meditation over the sad fate of the world, in an effort to relieve suffering.
    The wood is stained.
