Large 12 x 24" tinted photograph

    Hi,
    Here is a large tinted photograph, 12"x 24". Looks like initials VM at the bottom, nothing on the back. Nice frame that looks to be original. I'm trying to figure out the date, maybe 1930s?
    The last photo is taken out of the frame.
    Any information appreciated

    Based on the frame and photograph, I think 1930s maybe early 40s sounds about right.
    Not an expert, just my opinion since no one gave one.

    Is that some sort of signature, then? Looks like a V over an M?

    My assessment would be the same as cluttered's. And I am basing it on the same ideas. And I am also not an expert.

    Yes, I wondered if those initials are supposed to be a signature.
