Hello all, I am back. I am looking for some comments about the painting I 've bought during my vacation trip around Ukraine with my British guests.
They also bought a few paintings by the same artist. We have bought them from the restaurant we had dinner in a small town. They decorated the restaurant walls. We were told the artist did not have a formal art education. He simply painted. We were just awestruck. The paintings came from his soul. Usually, many of such talents disappear. Talent alone is not always enough to be recognized.
On coming back to Kyiv I started investigating on that artist and found out that we were not alone who were attracted to his paintings. Fortunately, his paintings came to the attention of an art collector, an American with Ukrainian roots, who even published a book about him.
I have found the book, it's in Ukrainian, English, French. Also, I found out a few of his paintings are for sale from private collections in Kyiv.
So, I just wanted to show you my painting. If you like it, I can send you the photos of the paintings available for sale. Also, I uploaded the cover of the book about him.
Any questions? I will be glad to answer.

    Welcome back Natasha.
I love the painting, you can almost feel the winter's evening. The colours are beautiful, I can see why you bought it. He may be an amateur, but he manages to convey exactly what is needed in the painting.
I notice the same windmill features in the painting on the cover of the book. He probably paints from nature in and near the place where he lives.
Good that his work has been brought to attention, both by you, and by the author of the book.
