    It would help to to get a close look at Europe and see how the borders differ, if at all, from those today.

    Hi,
    I think it is 60s to 70s. I have the identical globe NOT made into a lamp. It was made in Italy.

    I think Greg is correct on the date. I doubt the angels are brass. More likely, Spelter / 'pot metal.'

    First use a magnet to see if it attracts. If it doesn't, take a screwdriver or other object to scratch an inconspicuous area. If it reveals yellow, it's brass. If silver, it's Spelter.

    Yes, those wooden globes were Italian imports in the 1960s. A popular decorator item.
