This lamp is pretty unique and must be identifiable. I don't see a makers mark. There were some similar but not exactly like it. I am wondering the age and if it has any value.

I'd guess made in India or East Asia, some time in the 1980s or later. Beyond that...dunno.

its cute, and that gives it decorative value. People love elephants. Not hugely valuable, maybe $20.

That shade, if original, looks a bit earlier. More photographs would be helpful.

That close-up definitely looks 1930s Japanese. The OP's camera angle made a big difference.

I believe it is Japanese, Satsuma style, with moriage decoration (refers to the raised slip decoration).

it's at least 1940's or earlier and the lampshade is original.

How do you know this and why was it not included in your opening post...?

What komo means is, it is always best to add as much information you already have. It helps identify the item.
For instance, the fact that it is porcelain instead of, say, lacquered wood, would have placed in Japan immediately. That, and 1940s clues, would have stopped everyone guessing.
