Don't know if original but appears to be nice quality.
What would you consider that? It is about 6" tall but too heavy and bulky to use it for drinking. Maybe a bowl, vase ...?

    Thanks

    Hi,
Beautiful Lalique rose bowl. Used for short stemed roses, they just layed on the edges.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to find something like this in google but not sure what key words to use. There are so many lalique pieces out there.

I could see it as a votive candle holder, but can't picture it being used with a tapered candle.

I like Greg's idea much better, anyway... it would look so pretty with roses in it. :)

I agree. I think that they were incorrect in using the word "candlestick" ... unless there is some sort of retaining ring or indentation inside this piece that we cannot see in the photos. (this is why I added the "(?)" after that statement)

Either a footed vase, as Greg said, or perhaps a tea-light or votive holder would make more sense.

    Hi,
I've had my coffee and now remembered rose bowls with a stem are correctly called ivy bowls, so sorry for my "fox paws".

Which reminds me of the time I was tag sailing with a friend and we were discussing a corner cupboard with a broken pediment. The owner overheard us, and quickly volunteered that her husband was Very Handy, and could fix it if we were interested.

Thanks for all the replies. I don't see this being used to hold candles.
Is Hossegor the official pattern name or that is how the R site call it?
