lady and dog figurine; sitzendorf or not exactly?

The mark looks quite like Sitzendorf but this exact one does not appear in the database Im using. THe lady looks similar to other Sitz. figurines so I think it is.

 

I think the mark is close enough, and it's stylistically correct. Is that a dog or a lamb?

 

Looks like a lamb to me. Dogs don't have hooves.

 

I'm voting lamb also! Beautifully detailed figurine!!!!! But is that pink flower chipped at the bottom in the center of her bosom?? Too bad if it is.... still a lovely piece!!!

It's a 256 page study from the University of Toronto on Porcelain Makers Marks and I scrolled down the pages looking for ones that used a crown. on about page 10 I found a crown similar to this one, with a curvy D underneath and in a column next to it it says 1780.

Then I looked at Antique procelain figures of Derby for one that matches this, couldn't find the exact one but they made very similar ones.

Now I'll look up figurines made by Sitzendorf.

Just a bit of confusion. The book came from the U of T library, but the link is Australian.

 

I suppose it was put on the Internet by the Museum of Western Australia.
