Know anything about this sofa?

    I bought this settee at an estate sale in Philadelphia about a year ago. I'm just getting around to getting it reupholstered now.

    Any chance that anyone knows anything about it? I've haven't seen anything quite like it at auctions or antique shops in my area.

    More renaissance revival than Eastlake but maybe a transitional piece. A bit more squared off than most RR pieces. Dating above is about right, though I would probably place it more to the earlier side of that range. Made of walnut. I would call it a settee rather than a sofa.

    Thanks for the info. My wife and I are fixing up an 1865 Carpenter Gothic and this will be going in the living room. Any chance anyone knows of a good upholsterer/restorer in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area that would take good care of it?
