I saw this at the local thrift. It was all crazed, and the bottom was covered in red velvet. No maker's mark. Any idea what this is? 20171009_135916.jpg 20171009_135920.jpg

It looks like the Rosenthal nude woman drinking, but not so fine, and on a different base.

Originally I wasn't planning on buying it, but today I went back to see if there was anymore jewelry (picked up a pair of amber and sterling silver earrings for $3.) and couldn't resist. I'll take better photos once I get home.

Do you think it's worth anything?

Take the velvet off(soaking in warm water should do it) and see if its marked. If its a "name" it could have some value, but it already does have decorative value.

Need to see the bottom without the velvet.

I was hoping it would be more like this:

Original Heissner Black Glaze Nude Lute Figurine Statuette-a.jpg

This is by a German company named Heissner (better known for its garden gnomes).

I am surprised that's yours appears to be solid. There should be small holes for pressure release during firing. I think the fact that it is solid might indicate that it is older, maybe 19th C. But that could be wishful thinking.

It feels hollow. Thr only hole is a very minor crack on its leg.
