She's about 6-7" tall...plus the socket. Yes I tested it and it does work but it's up to you to determine if you want it rewired. It's not frayed or anything, just old.

It just made me laugh - I picture the poster getting a bit of a smackdown because his tastes don't jive with his wife's/partner's and reluctantly passing it along to someone who can enjoy it in any room of their house.
