    The only similar I can find is on yahoo auctions in Japan. It really only looks useful for stabbing.

    looks like a 'theatre' knife. does the handle and tang look somewhat handmade.

    i have a couple, during ww2 soldiers used to decorate enemy blades with their own handles

    That's the same stamps and style. Handle is stacked leather on this one. The thickness of the blade is similar to the survival knives.
