Looks good. I guess if you want to appeal to certain people, maybe have someone who is a good speller go over at least your item titles and correct them. Or maybe that segment of customers is minuscule and not worth the effort.

Or maybe you are way ahead of me in marketing strategies and the spelling errors were carefully calculated for a specific impact!

I don't want to tell you your business and I've never been to auctioneer school, but since many of the items are on the lower end of the price scale, you might want to be ready to combine items into larger lots during the sale if some things just don't catch on with bidders. I've seen auctioneers do that even with items already sold with minimal explanation and have never seen anyone protest.

Best of luck!! What about shipping? Are you providing shipping for out of state bidders? I didn't see anything about it.

Some ship in house....some have agreements with nearby UPS stores.

We don't do the actual shipping. We suggest buyers use a 3rd party shipper and have several listed on our terms and conditions page.

It's just easier that way and it's how the big guys around here do it. I am a total copy cat. LOL! Plus it gives the buyer more options when it comes to how much they pay for shipping.

I really am not trying to be picky but . . . Springfield, do you mean items which have already been offered up by the auctioneer but were not bid on/sold or didn't meet a reserve if there was one???? ;)

No, I've seen auctioneers take items already sold and combine them with others, and re-sell the new lot. The first sale is thus voided and they get away with it. I'm sure the auctioneer has to be pretty well self-assured to do that but have seen it a few times.

Interesting. I am not sure how they do that. Once an item is bid on and called sold that is basically a binding contract. I wouldn't imagine it would make too many buyers happy to have a lot they just bought reopened for bidding. That's wild. Never seen that.

I have seen them combine items that didn't sell with another lot to make it more attractive.

I have even seen an auctioneer throw a dollar in a box to get someone to bid a dollar on it. Seriously. And a guy who had already bid 25 cents got upset cause he was like I had it at 25 cents. The auctioneer replied "you must be some kind of stupid" LOL! Thinking of that cracks me up still.

Be sure and dress cowgirl for the auction, I'm guessing that'll go over well where you are.

I see the shipping now. I missed that, I didn't have a lot of time and only looked under bidding.
