Featured Kachina Doll-signature guesses ?

Every now n' then we find a Kachina,here's one we found today.It's 10 1/4" tall and the signature might say- Fiyazzie Bear 122,275 or 122,279
PS-Any other signature guesses ? Thanks !

The A (in Fran) and the Y and Z seem to match the writting on yours, and this one also has such a double number

 

Yazzie is a Navajo name, and the style is typical of Navajo pieces. Kachinas are a tradition among the Hopi and Zuni, so figures made by Navajo artists are technically not kachinas. You can find many good discussions of kachinas posted by Taupou if you do a search on the forum.

I always get the impression that half the Navajo Nation is a Yazzie.
And I agree, Kachinas are not traditionally Navajo.

 

Here's a couple old Hopi ones-this kind of authenticity's what we dream of finding (affordably- LOL!).
