    The 'cloverleaf' is the puzzle...I have looked, but No Joy. What can y'all tell me? And I thank you!

    The maker/sponsor is George Edward & Sons of Buchanan Street, Glasgow, the initials being those of David and George Edward. The hallmark is a Glasgow sterling mark for the assay year 1911/12.

    Looks like Phil has nailed this one, but if you ever have to search for that shape again, try 'quatrefoil'.
