Hi Your opinions please. Could you please tell me if this is religious or just a necklace.
    Thank you!! IMG_1615 (2).JPG IMG_1618 (2).JPG

Looks like a cross between a fish & a dove. Since both are Christian symbols, you know my answer to your question.

    @Bronwen - Sea. Boiling. Hot.

    Augustine might say, "twenty-seven."

Didn't even see the fish until you mentioned them. Do you have any idea where it may have been made..no marks

    Mmm. Oyster stuffing.

You will have to explain this to Tweedledumber. Florida?

Maybe I'm misreading it entirely, but dove of the Holy Spirit:

And this shape does not need the cross to have meaning to Christians:

    Tagging AJ a good move.

Jonson wrote, "And though thou had'st small Latin and less Greek..." of the Bard, but might have as easily written it about Augustine, who made an impassioned statement in De Civitate Dei regarding the, "value and virtue," of the number of letters in, "Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς Θεοῦ Υἱὸς Σωτήρ," being 3³ which indicated great power in the phrase, "Jesus Christ; God's Son: Savior." 26 is not 3³. Twinkle, twinkle little ἰχθύς; how I wonder why you picked us.

That's the math Augustine learned on the Hippo campus.

The allusive SOS playing word games & me trying to hold up my end. It adds absolutely nothing to understanding this necklace.

For anyone who may not know, the Greek word for fish is ἸΧΘΥΣ, ichthys, as in ichthyology. So it is an acronym, as SOS laid out, for:
    ησοῦς Χριστὸς Θεοῦ Υἱὸς Σωτήρ
    Jesus Christ; God's Son: Savior

And the fish drawing is a rebus for ichthys. Fish with wings led to pigs with wings, which led us through the looking glass for a moment, an experience that left us completely silly.

You are right. It looks Afghan or Central Asian, with all those ring beads.
Many cultures use fish and bird imagery, usually symbolising abundance/fertility and spirituality. I'm sure it is common sense economy to combine the two.;)

I have Afghan bird and fish earrings, if I can find them:rolleyes: I will post a photo.
While you are waiting, a detail of my Tunisian Berber fish and bird Tanit pendant:
