Featured Josef Inwald Art Deco Frosted Blue Glass ??

Hi All,

Ive this piece which im unsure who its made by?
Cant see any markings on the item and im not actually sure if its bowl is meant to be with it?

 

Is that a Bagley Equinox bowl?

 

Im not sure, no markings on either piece, I assumed they were a set but it appears that the bowl is more of a clear glass and the fish is frosted.

 

The bowl is indeed Bagley Equinox and has nothing to do with fishie.

Not sure fishie is Inwald, it's a bit skinny for that.

 

The Fish looks like a flower frog so you can try that search term. Personally, I think that if the fish was made by someone else, it's still a great pairing. It looks like the fish made a tremendous splash in water. I like it a lot.

 

Strictly speaking, a flower frog has holes to put blooms in, so this isn't. Centrepiece is a good term. They had holes so that water would not be trapped, rather than for holding flowers.

Thanks! I did not know that. It makes sense though, otherwise, the centerpiece would become totally yucky inside a bowl with water. It might even fall over.
