I've come across this piece in the ongoing garage clear out and I wondered if anyone could tell me it's authenticity. I've done some digging online and can't find anything called 'leapfrog' by this artist but obviously she is well known for bronze sculptures. I am looking to sell this pieces but not looking for people to tell me what it's worth, I just want to try and make sure it's not a fake. It's definitely bronze from the weight and tarnish/petina. I will give the base a good clean when I get the chance too. Thanks for looking and any help you can give.
The one above may not be hers afterall (sorry). I found this one on marble with a value but I don't have an account at this auction company: http://www.arcadja.com/auctions/en/sanders_jill_cowie/artist/666034/
The signature looks right,as does the faces and the theme. Maybe it was a one off ? Very charming piece, and I just fell in love with her work .
Looks good from the photos, but I'm not too familiar with this artist. Here is the same version (w/o a base) on a French pinterest site, may not have much info. https://www.pinterest.fr/pin/438608451194292527/
This had a starting bid of 90EUR & the lot was passed. https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/21905300_jill-cowie-sanders-brithis-1930-bronze-sculpture
