    If Japanese...recent & crude, imho.
    I'm leaning toward Chinese, an' recent.

    It is Japanese, Meiji period, so antique.
    We don't do values, but if you google Meiji period bronze cache-pot yo wil probably find others.

    Which one, Whit and I have different opinions on your Meiji cache-pot.:confused:
    A very different culture.;) Probably Turkish, with Islamic texts. Much later than the Japanese one, this one is 2nd half of the 20th century.
    Could we see the base?

    Fighting cocks on a bronze cache pot.How cool is that! I agree with @Any Jewelry on age. Late Meiji, turn of the century. Very nice!

    I think they are Ho-o birds, Japanese phoenix, with that long tail feather.:)
