    Don't see any reason to think that this is Japanese, or a woodblock. Looks like it might be a serigraph.

    That's a Japanese frame, but the bird was done with a Western method.

    It is woodblock because it is.
    There were 5 artwork from the place I got this one. The other was the sumo wrestlers print and I picked another Japanese woodblock. The left two were silk works, Japanese. All of them had the same frames and wood backings.
