Japanese Stoneware Type Sake Cups

    I have 4 Japanese stoneware type shallow sake cups. They all stand about 1" tall and measure 4 1/4" across. All have a square impressed mark with 3 or 4 dots inside. Hope to ID maker, and age.

    Aren't those condiment dishes, for soy sauce etc?

    I think they are just called sauce plates.

    I think many a drop of sake might have been lost from these. I would struggle transporting said juice to my gob with these. Not as difficult as a porron though I guess.

    Ok found out these are not Japanese at all. Brent Heerspink and Julie Porter studio pottery.
