Featured Japanese signed Rosewood Fly thing?

Picked this up today $5, rosewood detailed and signed, any ideas?

ha, I said whistle....and edited it.....cuz it's so openly carved.....
but maybe SD could blow Into it...and see !!

 

I just love this carving. The body is more like a cicada, like Komo said above, but the eyes aren't big enough for it. Unless it could be a species of which I am not familiar.
