Featured Japanese ??Netsuke??? Brass and other metals? Who's it supposed to be?

    I found the poor dude sewn and glued to a big heavy chain. I don't think the chain is silver - pity since it weighs a TON. The dude has writing underneath his chin, but my knowledge of written languages gets as far east as Berlin and stops dead. I'm going to figure out a way to un-glue him from the chain. The thread went through existing holes, and the writing appears to have been stamped on after the back was attached. Beyond that...dunno.
