Featured japanese eggshell porcelain bowl

    hi folks

    found this today in a charity shop for not very much
    anyone have an idea on maker (mark) or period

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    Likely Satsuma. You pic of the mark may be upside down. ;)

    Stunning. I’d guess 1880-1920 and probably on the earlier end. More of a guess than a know though.

    That is Beautiful @charlie cheswick
    It is Satsuma. The mark on the top looks like a variation if the Shimazu clan mark
    I searched and couldn't find an exact match for your mark, but I would say
    Pre WW1 1900-1910
    Great find at a secondhand store.

    Early 20th century, Japanese. It's Kutani (not Satsuma), the mark is 土田 Tsuchida

    That's what I thought because it's porcelain not pottery, but I looked for the nine valleys character and didn't see it. Is Tsuchida a name or a place?
