Japanese Cups

    I also bought these cups which are similar in color. Cups stand 3" tall, 3 1/4" across the top and are 2 3/4" deep. All have an indent on the side and all have a similar mark on the base. Any help is appreciated.

    Set of 5 is usual for Japanese sets. Possibly sake cups?

    I'm interested in how this thread travels...those are quite evocative in style an' color, an' I would think more suited for tea than sake...Very Lovely, an' Thanks!

    Kent, they look pretty big for sake. Wondering if these were made by Takahashi Rakusai.

    Yes. I realized that after I read the dimensions. I think they make an interesting set with your tea bowls.
