Japanese Bronze "Magic Mirror"

    I see that similar are selling for cheap. Even the one from Late Edo period. I guess the real deal are the very old ones, especially the early Chinese mirrors. And maybe the one with more unusual designs.
    This is about 8 1/2" in diameter.
    The holly olive leaves are the family crest or the so called kamon/mon but don't know if they matter at all. The writings on the left are supposed to be the maker. Would be nice if someone can translate them but doubt that will matter.

    Not sure how to test the mirror. I guess I need a dark place and blast the flat surface with light. Well, no flashlight so I have to figure something.

    No problem. I just can't make mine to work. I think it has to be a real magic mirror rather than only a decorative piece. Where the light in the video is coming from?

    Japanese magic mirrors are very special! It is considered that shaman queen owned them. But there is no too many records about her from history
