    First thing -
WELCOME BACK ANTIQUERS!! I think I was going through withdrawals not being able to pull this site up!!

Found these last week at a friend's thrift store- it's a box from a Japan department store called Takashimaya. It has several different ...napkins? Hankerchief?
Can anyone tell me what I have?

    Which came with box?
    How old are these?
What are they - napkins or Hankerchiefs?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated!

Takashimaya was a very high end store selling Japanese goods.

What are the measurements? Looks like maybe napkins or large hankies. BWDIK

Could be - Furoshiki: traditional Japanese wrapping cloths traditionally used to wrap and/or to transport goods.

    The 2 pink ones are 20 x 20, the Japanese lady is 17.5 x 17.5, and the embroidered one is 17 x 17
PS - the embroidered one was either made by the dept. store or made exclusively for it, because the small red symbol on it is also on a sticker inside the box (see below)?
