Jack the Sailor

    Just bought a part tea set (mid 19thC?) the main image is of Jack the Sailor, but there are also two other images, one of a younger (?) boy (Jack?) offering flowers to a girl, the other is the girl alone holding flowers.

    I think that date is maybe circa 1840-50 and wonder whether the images are generic Jack Tar and Girl types or whether this was produced after an illustrated publication, which might then shed more light on the story here.

    I think you are correct to date the Pink Lustre to the 1840-60 period.

    Can't help with your question though. Sorry.
