What the heck is a glass vase doing with a pewter mark?

    Are the grey stripes metal?

Steven : Etain means pewter in French, so the vase is likely from France or a French speaking country. The 95% presumably refers to the tin content of the pewter: thus the maker's mark might be that of a metalworks rather than a glass company.
