I planned to sew it onto a ribbon to make it a chocker, but sadly my needle is too big, need to get a thinner one!

Too bad you can't just chuck it over to me. I'm hip deep in needles of all sizes and have all sorts of thread. As for insanity, I don't think sanity is a problem anyone here deals with much.

I don't keep that around either. The synthetic fiber stuff doesn't feel right, at least on me. The edges HURT.

    Superb! The crystal is pristine:woot:
For your choker project, you may add a mirror on a long chain...
So you can enjoy the sight of it while worn;)
I always thought that earrings and short necklaces were for others to enjoy, as tattoos on the back:joyful:

Haha I agree, that’s why I only buy finger rings in my first year of collecting jewelry :p
It’s too fragile so guess most of the time it will only stay in my box, but it has to be worn at least once!

Or put it in a beautiful (French) display box, so you can enjoy it every day.

There are still places that sell old and antique silk and cotton velvet ribbons etc. I buy my satin fan ribbons from such places too.

I did search for antique ribbons haha just want to pair better, but fear that old fabric might be less strong?

Not if it is 'new old stock'. And you can always use another fabric to line the back.
