Italy Figural Pottery Decanter Wine Bottle

Found an interesting discussion about similar pieces here

Seems like the maker is still unidentified. Most likely those pieces are wine bottles. Some of them were found with labels by different importers.
Wonder if 1970 is the year of production?
Any idea who the figure is? Can't tell for sure what is he holding.

Looks like a fisherman.....& he's holding a scale...!

 

Looks like an Italian John Denver.

 

And five years later I still haven't got a clue

 

My quick INITIAL thought was he was going to 'snuff' out lights! But when I really looked at the whole scene....young fisherman with rolled up pants, bare feet & sitting on a rock, kind of a huge sea shell the rock is sitting on, the fish at his feet.....then yeah, I think it's scales on his arm............
