Hi, This wall plate or charger with horse motif is about 14 inches in diameter and is signed GR Italy. It is a large, heavy piece. Does anyone know the maker and or time period? Walter, if you are around, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all for any help. grit1.JPG grit2.JPG grit3.JPG

I am familiar with the mark but almost certainly it was created by an artist in the region of Campania in southern Italy. Probably in the town of Vietri Sul Mar or Salerno. It is very much akin to the artistry of the Tedesco (German) period of the early 20th century although it was most likely made sometime in the late 1950's, early 60's. The weight of the plate suggests that it was hand made in a mold press by the same artist. Its an interesting piece.
