Italian majolica?

Came across this really cool female figurine that looks like what could be Italian majolica.
She's marked "Italy" with an X type mark.
Curious dark rough spots throughout the glaze, not sure if that's original or an age thing.
Any insights will be super appreciated! 20250128_134656.jpg 20250128_135012.jpg

Not sure I would call this Majolica.

The dark spots seem be in the glaze or clay. I wonder if the "X" was indicating this was a second?

The term would be maiolica if she’s Italian.
