Israel pottery man reading book

    I just grabbed this this morning at thrift store for 54 cents. It is slightly under 10" tall .

    Anyone know the age etc. or who made this ?

    Presumably reading a religious text, with a Torah scroll in the crook of his arm, so maybe a priest named in the Bible. As for maker...? But if you can describe it, maybe you can find it.

    Try David Kalderon Israel Torah in eBay - more listings will pop up... Cool article, @Bronwen

    "Monumental" keeps popping up...

    Worthpoint... average is about $30

    They're a lot worse than that new; the local Judaica store probably has similar on for $50 each. People pay it too.
