    Hi,
I wonder if anyone can identify the attached neklace, in UV light the white beads shine a beautiful light green.
Any idea what stones they are , what age?
    Thank you.
    Kind regards

    Lovely uranium glass beads :)
Please can we see the whole necklace laid out? The beads and clasp look like several of my Czech necklaces but if the pattern is a bit random maybe restrung?
Not sure if the amber beads are imposters- what is it strung on?

    Old Czech glass, I'd say.

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply. The patten is synchronized, please see attached image. Yes, it needs to be restrung, the thread feels like cotton, it is a thick thread. I did cut my fingers in some very sharp bead blades, I will have them removed when I will commission somone to restrung it.
Any ideea how old it is? Aproximate will do.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Simona

Try emailing it to yourself as medium size, save it from your email and then it should load :)

It looks to have been restrung as the amber beads aren’t symmetrical or maybe some have been broken and lost. Lovely necklace worth restringing :)

I tried again, this is the best I can do.
I have searched the net and found one necklace a bit similar to mine dating 1930, but I have a feeling that this one is a bit older than that. Any idea of age? Value?
Most uranium glass on the internet is transparent green, transparent yellow green, but this beads are not very common.
I already commission someone to restrung it, do you think that the yellow beads in between should be removed, or shall I keep it with the same beads, but ask to rearrange it symmetrically.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Simona

Looking at that photo it looks symmetrical so maybe it was an illusion.
I think I’d keep the amber beads as they may be original :)

I'd think 20s or 30s. Agree the amber beads are original.

I agree, keep the amber beads.
If you look at the photo below there is some asymmetry, so you may have to replace one amber bead with a clear spacer bead, and reorganise the bead caps in a way that looks good.
You will also need an extra spacer bead on one side of the clasp.

Will you show us the result?:)

    Hello again,
Yes, I will post the necklace as soon it will be restrung....I also think to keep as much as possible from the original shape and beads.
I have another question... I have a bakelite necklace with white beads that light up at night without UV light. I googled and it says that they may be phosphorus coated. What do you think? Have you seen anything like it?
When I put the UV light on them, they shine even more light green.
They sit on a metal chain.
