Is this the actual product, or the plate to make the product?

I picked this up at a sale yesterday. And Im not sure who the artist is (wishing it was original Picasso), but I was curious to know what yall think. Is this the actual art product or is the plate to make the print? Sure would like any education on the matter from those familiar with printmaking. All the best. don1.jpg don 4.jpg

It is an actual product and not a plate to make the product.

    Also, close up of signature.

Side note. Ive tried several times to crop and load this image, but it keeps coming out portrait. Is there a way to rotate images to correct positioning? don5.jpg

I agree. The work itself and likely a souvenir from Spain where it is widely reproduced and available.

If you're using an iPhone, I hear they tend to randomly rotate photos 'at will'!!!!

Its weird, I was uploading from the computer. And no matter what I did to crop it, it wouldnt upload landscape. Then INH comes along, uploads it like it was nothing lol.

Try rotating it and saving a copy. INH is very special though and does have some kind of magic!

It looks like Targu and 76 to me

Thanks Kiko, I thought the same. I looked for Targu and couldnt find anything. But like Debora stated, it could be just a common Spanish souvenir and there might not be anything to find.

Im really hoping to find out what the product form is called. Ive gone to hundreds of sales before and am not familiar with art on a plate like this.

I think that's "16" rather than "76." If a Spanish 7, it would be crossed.

Not if it wasn’t made in Spain and that work is screaming 70s to me.

To me too, reader. It could even be more recent. I remember there was a point in time when acrylic paint brands all came out with "gold, silver, bronze" metallic paint colors, I think this was done with acrylics on a metal plate sheet, but it's just made to be decorative, not a printing plate.

@StarCastle33 , why does it look "fuzzy" around the edges? The brown color looks fuzzy against the white mat. I would hesitate to take this out of the frame, it looks very stable as it is.

Agree with both comments. Regardless of age it’s a decorative piece that’s best left as is and doesn’t warrant IMO more time for research.
